Francesca Jackman

As the Manager of Strategic Initiatives at Sport for Life Society, Francesca supports the senior leadership team and Board of Directors through proposal and grant management and writing, policy and strategic development and implementation, project management, and gender equity and safe sport initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University, having double majored in Journalism and French, and completed her Master’s degree in French Language and Culture at the University of Victoria in the fall of 2019. Prior to joining Sport for Life, Francesca has served as a Communications Assistant to a federal Member of Parliament, an External Communications Coordinator at the Ministry of Education, and as the Book Marketing Program Manager at Tellwell - an assisted self-publishing company. Francesca also volunteered at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games as a Press Tribune Team Member in the indoor track cycling Velodrome. An avid long-distance runner, Francesca is passionate about using her bilingual research and communications skills to serve Canada’s sport community.
