Sport for Life’s COVID-19 response
Victoria, B.C. – As Canadian governments, communities and citizens continue to adapt to the rapidly changing situation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, Sport for Life has decided to suspend all in-person workshops, programs and events indefinitely. This decision has been made based on the guidance and precautionary measures shared by the World Health Organization and the Canadian government.
Sport for Life will work closely with those individuals and organizations who have already scheduled workshops to either postpone those events until a later date, or provide refunds in instances where a postponement may not be feasible. Where appropriate, scheduled meetings will be delivered online instead. Anyone affected by these changes will be contacted by Sport for Life. Webinars and online meetings will continue as planned.
Sport for Life will be closing its Victoria office indefinitely. However, all staff will continue to work their normal hours from home. Because the Sport for Life office phone line will not be monitored for the foreseeable future, Sport for Life asks that you email the employee you wish to reach. You can find all team members and their emails at sportforlife.ca/team.
We understand that this is a difficult time and we thank our event hosts, participants and communities for their understanding. If you have any questions or concerns about Sport for Life operations, please email info@sportforlife.ca.
