A national month-long initiative to try something new. April 2026 is all about trying something new. Across Canada, individuals, families, classrooms, teams, and communities are invited to explore new sports, movements, and ways to connect.
Ready, Set, Try! encourages people of all ages and abilities to discover new sports and physical activities in a fun, welcoming, and low-barrier way.
What is READY, SET, TRY!
Ready, Set, Try! Is a national initiative led by Sport for Life that encourages Canadians to step outside their routine and try a new sport or physical activity.
Through a fun, interactive online Bingo Card, you can explore different ways to move – at home, in your community, or with local sport organizations.
No pressure. No experience required. Just an opportunity to try.
Follow us on social media and play your bingo card throughout April.

Organizations & Partners
Sport and recreation organizations play a key role in Ready, Set, Try!
We need your help. We invite sport and recreation organizations to submit a short video featuring a sport or physical activity people can try at home or in their community with limited equipment.
By submitting a short video, your organization can:
- Be featured on the BINGO card for Ready, Set, Try!
- Be recognized on Sport for Life’s website, newsletter, and social media
- Reach new participants to try their sport or activity
- Be part of a national movement promoting sport-for-all
This project is co-funded by the European Commission as part of the REACH Project through TAFISA.
