Sport for Life’s new ‘LTOD’ page is a practical web resource to support the development of quality official’s programs.
Officials can be paid or volunteer, and are anyone who supports a sport event, for example: judges, organizers, referees, umpires, timers, starters, scorers, etc.
The three sections of the Long-Term Officials Development resource are aligned to quality sport principles:
- Good Programs: Long-Term Development Stage Appropriate Officiating
- Good People: Supporting Effective Officials Development
- Good Places: Safety and Inclusion for Officials
Click on each section below and use the 5 Recommended Steps to assess your program needs, and also use the resources button to find supporting research and review current promising practices from across Canada.
