Few people have experienced sport from as many perspectives as Amélie Oudéa-Castéra.
An elite tennis player in her youth, she later led the French Tennis Federation before being appointed France’s minister of sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2022. She remained in government through the preparation and delivery of Paris 2024 and was elected president of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) in June 2025.
At the International Physical Literacy Conference (IPLC) 2026 in Toulouse, Oudéa-Castéra will bring a perspective shaped by high-performance sport, federation leadership, public policy, and the Olympic movement.
From the Court to the Cabinet
Her experience in sport started on the court. Oudéa-Castéra was an under-14 world champion, a European team champion at the under-16 level, and a three-time French champion. She reached the semifinals of three junior Grand Slam tournaments, represented France around 30 times, and reached a world ranking of 251 at age 16.
After ending her competitive career at 18, she built a career in public administration and senior executive leadership before returning to sport in 2021 as director general of the French Tennis Federation.
One year later, she entered government as minister of sport and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, contributing to the preparation and delivery of Paris 2024. Today, as president of the CNOSF, she leads the French Olympic and sporting movement.
Few speakers can connect the athlete experience with federation leadership, government decision-making, Paris 2024, and the leadership of a national Olympic committee.
Three Days in Toulouse
IPLC 2026 takes place October 1–3, 2026 at the Centre de Congrès Pierre Baudis in Toulouse, France, bringing together more than 300 delegates from over 30 countries and more than 70 speakers for three days of keynotes, presentations, workshops, and exchange.
Under the theme Stronger Together Through Movement, researchers, practitioners, educators, leaders, and policy-makers will share research, practical approaches, and perspectives across four streams: Physical Literacy for Everyone, Health and Prevention, Research and Innovation, and Quality Environments.
